HEIDI WOODHEAD

I paint in a classical style inspired by the floral and botanical art of the 17th and 18th centuries. I paint with oils, often including a dark or moody background that lends a sense of drama and intrigue to my work. I love to paint flowers and natural subjects and the challenge of painting glass and china is something I return to again and again.

 

Over a decade spent working as a forensic crime scene examiner has given me an exquisite eye for detail and an understanding of darkness and mystery, alongside an appreciation for simplicity and beauty that I try to capture in my paintings.
